About Heidi...

Heidi was born and raised in Seattle. She grew up listening to KJR & KING. From the time she was 11 years old Heidi wanted to be on the radio. She went to Lincoln High School in Seattle and visited KZOK on career day. Her question to the DJ at the time was "is there a future for women in radio?"

After high school Heidi went straight into Broadcasting School. Her first radio job was in the small western Washington town of Puyallup at KJUN Country.

Radio jobs then took Heidi to Shelton, Tacoma, Everett and finally back to Seattle.

Heidi has been on several top-rated Seattle stations, including the last nine years at 95.7 KJR-FM. Her midday shift from 10am to 3pm weekdays continues to rank among the top in the market for adult listeners.

Heidi loves the outdoors and the water. She enjoys the Northwest climate and the ability to get to the snow so quickly from home, or the heat of Eastern Washington in the summer. Heidi and her family are die-hard Mariners fans. As she says "going to Safeco Field is like visiting Disney Land to me. Win or lose, it's always fun! I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country and to have such a great job too!"

You can catch Heidi 10a-3p Monday through Friday playing Rock 'n' Roll's Greatest Hits on 95.7 KJR-FM!

My Marthon for Crohn's
Monday 05-19-2008 10:59am PT

I'm very excited to be a part of The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon (13.1 miles)!  I've never done a marathon in my life so this is exciting.  I've started training and really enjoy it, but I gotta admit I'm a little sore!

This is a big personal challenge for me.  I work out regularly, but am not much of a runner, so this is not exactly a cake walk for me.  The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is helping to fund research to cure Crohn's Disease and Colitis.  They also support kids with the disease with Camp Oasis.

We leave for Napa on July 18th, the half marathon is on July 20th.

I've lived with Crohn's Disease for the last 25 years.

Click on my fundraising page for more info or to make a donation. Any contribution you can make is awesome!

Thanks!
Heidi May

Tuxes and Tails
Wednesday 04-02-2008 10:39am PT
I'm excited to be a part of Tuxes & Tails Celebrity & Pet Fashion Show again this year. It's The Seattle Humane Society's biggest fund raising event.

If you're an animal lover, it's for you!  It's a lot of fun to see everyone with their pets or adoptable pets from The Humane Society.

I'm especially excited to be a part of Tuxes & Tails this year because I'll be bringing the newest member of our family, Big Mack Daddy!

My son got his girlfriend a Pomeranian puppy last year and guess who ended up hitting it off with him?  It's a good thing too since I told my son "absolutely not" when he asked about getting him.

My son doesn't always listen to me (shocking isn't it?) I came home one day to find this cute little Pomeranian puppy in my house and fell for him.  He's been a member of our family for almost a year now.  He's a real sweetheart and I know he'll enjoy Tuxes & Tails because he's very social.
